TCP/IP NETWORKS
Radio IP MTG™ brings a number of benefits specifically adapted to TCP/IP and/or public cellular networks. Most TCP/IP networks are large pipe and do not have the speed limitations frequently faced by proprietary networks. However, read further to see how Radio IP MTG overcomes the limitations of TCP/IP networks such as wireless security, wireless connectivity, static IP addressing and roaming.
Wireless Security
Radio IP MTG provides a
Mobile VPN with user authentication, data encryption, data encapsulation and much more. Key to a Mobile VPN is also tunneling, which encapsulates data within a public network transmission. Radio IP MTG permits standard windows authentication, or if you chose, two-factor authentication using a token key, smart card or a biometric device.
Radio IP MTG can use different encryption algorithms such as AES, 3DES and DES. Our encryption is FIPS 140-1 and 140-2 compliant, which is the highest level of encryption mandated by the federal government. Data exchanged between the mobile devices and corporate systems is very often confidential or even classified. Our encryption standards guarantee that it stays that way.
Continuous Wireless Connectivity
Radio IP MTG maintains all the reliability, data integrity, and flexibility of the TCP/IP's protocol but uniquely designs and optimizes it for your wireless network. With our session persistence and data buffering, not only will you never lose your
connectivity again but you will also achieve a larger coverage footprint as you move in and out of coverage zones.
Mobile DHCP
With many secure databases, a static IP address is required for queries and responses, further identifying the mobile computing device requesting information. Public networks generate dynamic IP addresses, restricting your wireless users from accessing these types of databases. Radio IP MTG applies a static IP address to each mobile computing device, allowing full connectivity to secure databases that require this type of authentication.
Radio IP Mobile DHCP streamlines transmissions, giving administrators of any wireless network simplified management control over IP addresses.

Roaming
You are running mobile data over a TCP/IP network? With
RadioRoam®, you have the ability to add additional networks, whether they are
proprietary, TCP/IP, or even
UDP/IP, and roam seamlessly and automatically giving you the coverage that you require. RadioRoam enables Radio IP MTG to adapt itself to the speed of the network driver being used.
