Wireless Roaming Security
Maintaining the
security of your data while you roam between different wireless networks is critical. With RadioRoam, you get mobile VPN persistence which ensures that your virtual private network connection always has the authentication, encryption and encapsulation needed for secure data transmission. Roam wireless networks with confidence using RadioRoam.
Wireless Roaming Over Networks with Different Speeds
As technology evolves, the speed of wireless networks is continually increasing. As new fast networks are deployed, wireless roaming over networks with greatly varying speeds is becoming more common. How will you integrate the next generation wireless networks with an older, slower network? Will your applications be able to respond to the difference in network speeds?
Radio IP MTG with RadioRoam effectively manages the timing of acknowledgements and other factors needed over different networks, making your applications less sensitive to high-latency networks. This enables your applications to run smoothly when roaming over networks of varying speeds.
Control Your Wireless Roaming
Radio IP MTG with RadioRoam gives network administrators more control with user-defined criteria to manage your wireless network roaming.
Availability
- Choose your network connection based on which wireless networks are available.
Priority
- Apply one of 5 levels of importance to each wireless network. This allows you to load one network heavier than another, based on your particular needs.
Time of Day
- Allow or disallow connection to a network based on time of day. This is especially useful where network loads are known to be higher during certain periods.
Cost
- Apply a usage cost to a particular network. This setting will positively impact your bottom-line if you are concerned with operating costs.
Destination
- Manage which networks can transmit to which destination IP address. For example, you may deny a slower network access to a particular server.
Port
- Limit which destination ports can use which networks. For example, do not allow any transfers to an FTP port over a slower network.
Application
- Direct which application may communicate over which wireless network. For example, allow report management software to always use the fastest network available.
